Overdose - Level 2: Japanese Massacre

Overdose - Level 1: Cataclysm

Featured Game: PAINKILLER - OVERDOSE

Website: http://www.projectoverdose.com/

NOTES:
I played the original Painkiller in 3D so I knew this new release could make for a really good 3D gaming experience. To my surprise, hardly no tweaks we're needed to get the game looking amazing in 3D. The original painkller had graphical problems, but this was solved in one of the patches. To get the best 3D experience I've turned off Character Shadows, Weather Effects, Bloom, Corona, View Weapon and Warp Effects.

Anaglyph

If you've got some Anaglyph stereo glasses in your home, go get them now to view this image. These are the red/green paper glasses you can get in magazines, comics, DVD's etc. I got my pair from the Shrek 2 DVD set.

Crude 3D image using 2 frames

Here's a method to attempt to show 3D by using just 2 frames. By animating the left and right frames needed for 3D gaming, we get this cool effect.

Crude 3D Game Video Attempt

Im hoping to impress the viewers of this blog with 3D game images, so decided to attempt my first 3D animation, its crude but it works.

The above animation took me 1 hour to make using a stop-animation type process. Imagine playing the game like this in 3D on a big monitor.... thats the joy of 3D gaming.

About Nvidia 3D Stereo

To experience my games in incredible 3D I've always choosen Nvidia graphics cards. The reason for this is simple... Nvidia support 3D gaming with their own 3D stereo drivers.

Here's what Nvidia have to say about 3D gaming.

Imagine immersing yourself in the world of 3D content like never before. Monsters, bullets, and landscapes jump out of your flat monitor and into your imagination, making you part of the game. With NVIDIA® 3D Stereo, gaming will never be the same.
Thanks to the tight integration of our drivers and NVIDIA's customized stereoscopic 3D support, NVIDIA 3D Stereo is the fastest consumer 3D stereoscopic solution available today, resulting in games that look the best and run the fastest.
In addition, NVIDIA 3D Stereo works on the broadest range of applications, making it the most compatible 3D stereoscopic solution ever available. Previous implementations of stereoscopic 3D support have been proprietary to specific graphics cards, stereoscopic glasses, and special versions of games. Now, NVIDIA 3D Stereo brings stereoscopic 3D support to our whole family of TNT™-, GeForce™-, and Quadro™-based graphics cards running games developed with Direct3D® and OpenGL® APIs without requiring special versions of your favorite games. In other words, 3D Stereo will work with your existing game library!

How to view Stereoscopic 3D Images....

Most of the 3D images you'll see here will be better than any you can find on google. I've been 3D gaming for 3 years now and i've mastered a technique to give the most detailed and best 3D depth perception available.

Here's how to view these cool 3D images without the use of glasses:

1. Look at the left image with your left eye, and the right image with your right eye.
2. Imagine holding a pen behind your monitor and start to focus on that tip of that imaginary pen. (Pretend to look through and beyond your screen)
3. The images should merge untill you see 3 images, focus on the middle image to see the 3D effect.
4. It takes practice to view these images but after a while you start to see them almost instantly and with ease.
5. REMEMBER: Always take a break from viewing these images after a few minutes.

Viewing these images does not damage your eyes, in fact scientific studies have shown that its good exercise for your eye muscles.

Below is a teaser/test image for you to practice on.... enjoy!
